I love Power Crunch bars, have been buying them for many years. Love that wafer crunch. They are always on the pricy end for a protein bar, but they are closest mouth feel and taste to a candy bar without being loaded with sugar or weird protein taste. And so, I do not rate on price. I can see the price before I purchase and I was ok with it.I figured I would try the S'more as I love marshmallow, and I was curious how their version would taste like. Has a Smores-esque taste. It is about as what I expected. It is good, but the lingering taste bothers me- there is a slight smoked flavor, I dont know.. something I cant quite pin point. I will definitely eat through the whole box, but doubt it will be a repurchase. I think the smokey marshmallow is weirding me out. There is the chocolate taste, a hit of graham, and a punch of odd artificial marshmallow. It isn't bad, and of course all these reviews are opinions of taste, so if it sounds good to you go for it. Or try to find a single one in store to try first. I think it is a doable flavor. I may smash one up and sprinkle it into a smoothie or on top of some ice cream. These wont go to waste.Even though I am a big fan of chocolate, I find that my favorites tend to be non chocolate varieties such as vanilla or strawberry, as they tend to have a more natural taste. Somehow the chocolate ones (this, or the peanut butter, etc), tend to not quite taste as good as I want. But I still add them in to my rotation.These are a great go to with coffee. I like to grab one on my way out the door. They are a little pricey but they do taste the best of all the high protein low sugar bars.A little high in calories for the diet I’m on, which means unwrapping a whole one & having to cut it in half, but they cure the sweet & crunchy cravings.We have always eaten the salted caramel, its ice to have another flavor we love to choose from!These are good, but you really need a cup of coffee to get them down.I love almost all flavors, but Smores is my absolute favorite.I saw these and thought, great, I can add them to my Power Crunch repertoire. I eat probably four bars a day of the various flavors. I was kind of excited to try this one. And it was Good! Went through the first several of them but my tastebuds got tired, just like if you ate a s'more every day. After eating a couple boxes of them, the sweetness and marshmallowy nature kinda made me almost gag. Kinda like candy-corn or or cotton candy or come to think of it real s'mores...every once in a while it's great, eat too much or it or too often and you're gonna toss your cookies. So that's this for me. That compares to the Peanut Butter and Chocolate version which, like the famous Reese's Peanut Cup, totally stands the test of time and you can eat them until you die, and will NEVER get sick of them. Ditto with the Mint, or even the standard Chocolate version or cookies and cream. Don't get me wrong, power crunch in general are AWESOME. But these ones, ugh. Of course, this is all a matter of taste, so your taste may vary, and you may be one of those people that can eat s'mores, cotton candy, and candy corn all day, and you don't mind having the teeth of a traveling carnival worker.Love the texture! These are amazing in terms of texture. It’s a smooth wafer like cookie crunch feel. Tried the peanut butter chocolate and the s’mores. I have a big sweet tooth and I am on a quest for the perfect protein bar to render into my routine.I’ve had lots of protein bars and I do not have unrealistic expectations of them tasting like candy bars. I’m happy if they have a decent flavor and aren’t so chewy I feel like I’ll break my jar. Was super excited to find these due to the unique wafer composition! Not so impressed by the flavors though.I bought chocolate peanut butter and s’mores. S’mores has that manufactured overly artificial sweetness to it. Honestly couldn’t take more then one bite. Also didn’t taste anything like a s’mores just artificial sugary syrup and wafer. Peanut butter chocolate is one of those disappointing protein bars that taste like nothing but peanut butter. Which was such a bummer because I typically find this is the one favor protein bars do well. If you really like peanut butter this one is so far you! If you’re looking for chocolate this is a hard pass friend.I will definitely try other flavors since the texture is worth the trial and error.The macros are decent and there is not too many calories for the amount time it holds me over between meals. I’d say it holds me over for about 2 1/2 in between meals which for me is a must since I feel constant eating is a waist of my time.Overall I would recommend these bars just think it’s a matter of finding the one for you.
