I had bariatric surgery and needed help getting all my protein. I found this and it actually tastes good. I showed it to my nutritionist and she was impressed and approved it for me.On my first bite a horde of information flooded my brain, after all I had expected a typical protein bar, instead I got a chewiness that I can only describe as Carmel like, the bite did separate from the bar well, but it took some tugging.It has been my experience with natural proteins that the chewier it is, the better your body will love you for it. But be warned, it takes a lot of chewing to eat this protein bar.Chocolate flavored, not too sweet, not too strong.One bar is quite filling, and you stay full for a longer period than an ordinary snack bar typically provides.I'm undecided on a repurchase, only because I tend to consume more whole food combinations than a single unit type food. Value wise, I am satisfied that I got the best bang for my buck.I eat these to help cut my calorie intake. They also come in handy for a snack. I love the way tasteCost was very good deal, delivery prompt, but weather was very hot and bars melted. Still edible but I won’t order again until colder weather has arrived. Tasted ok but were crumbly due to the slight melting.These bars are delicious, providing an extra boost of protein. I have one most every night, along with a cup of Nestle Sugar Free Hot Chocolate. Makes me almost feel guilty, because they taste like a candy bar and are reasonably priced compared to others.This tastes just like a chocolate candy bar but nutritionally it's extremely high in protein -- making it an incredible food if, like me, you aim to eat a very high protein diet while keeping a tight lid on total calories to try to maximize muscle growth while maintaining a lean body fat %. 180 calories per bar with 21gm of protein. That's 84 protein calories of 180 total, or 47%, crazy high for something this tasty, higher than skim milk for F's sake!Based on all of the protein bar options, when considering count and amount of protein per bar, I found this selection of pure protein to be the cheapest. Getting a smaller pack size jacks up the prices so much. I seriously don’t get why this is. Pay more for less? I also never understood why protein bars are so way overpriced. You could make your own protein bars for way less, and healthier!I eat these bars as part of my daily nutrition plan. Although the price has increased, they are still a good value when compared to other protein bars. They are also soft enough for me, when chewing.
