Thank you Amazon for keeping the price reasonable on this stuff. We don't eat a lot of meat in our house and I feel like this is a good supplement also she's gained 2lbs in around 6 days. It really works.My daughter has been an extremely picky eater since she started solids. At 10 months she was just touching 13lbs and gaining very slowly. She hates to eat anything with a lumpy texture so Ive been having a hard time getting her to eat table food. Currently, she only wants to eat junk food like cookoes and chips. She will take a few bites of food I offer her but her food intake mainly comes from jars of baby food.At her doctors request, I stopped breast feeding and started offering her cows milk, which she hated and would never finish. So her doctor sent us home with some bottles of pediasure to sample... ok more than some, she sent us home with about 32 bottles of the 3 flavors (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry).When I got home, I gave her a chocolate one and she drank about half of it before refusing to drink any more. Later the next day, I offered her the strawberry flavored one which she took a sip of and refused to drink any more of. I tasted it myself and it was alright but I ended up giving her the rest of the chocolate one which she drank.The next day I opened the vanilla one and offered her some. She got so mad she screamed at me and started crying when I offered it to her again. So Im thinking "ok maybe they arent that bad and she is just being picky and now only wants the chocolate flavor". So I ended up tasting the vanilla one... I ended up dumping it down the drain because I seriously wouldnt feed that to a starving animal. Its so disgusting that I got a headache from the aftertaste.I continued to buy the chocolate bottles the next month. She gained 2 lbs total while on that. This previous month, I was on the target website and decided that I would buy the bottles online. Thats when I noticed that pediasure makes it in powdered form. Which I was psyched about because it comes out a bit cheaper than buying the bottles. Also, when my daughter wouldnt finish them right after opening it would develop a metalic after taste.So I bought the powdered form on amazon. I definitely wasnt about to take their reccomendation and mix it with water because for one, thats less calories that could be going to my baby compared to if I used milk, and second of all thats just gross. I ended up making a super high calorie drink for her its about 380-580 calories. This is the recipe:- 1 serving (1/3cup) pediasure powder (220 calories)- 1 serving (1/3 cup) Nido powdered whole milk (160 calories)- 2 to 4 tbsp heavy cream (50 calories each)- 4 - 8 oz waterI add powdered milk because my daughter doesnt really like milk so buying gallons of milk for her will just go to waste so the powdered milk lasts longer. The Nido brand milk actually tastes like real milk after you make it and using powdered milk in that recipe allows me to control the consistency of the drink mix. If I want it to be more pudding like I will use closer to 4oz of water. If I want it to be similar to the bottles of pediasure I use 8oz od water. I tasted it and it tastes like hot chocolate drink mix after you add the powdered milk. I bet you could trick your kids to drink it if you microwave it and put marshmallows and say its hot chocolate. I havent had to trick my daughter to drink it at all.She she ended up gaining 2lbs in one month since Ive been giving her one of those drinks a day. She likes it a lot more than the bottled kind which I was having to continuously encourage her to drink. For this powdred drink mix (when made with milk instead of water) I would definitely give it 5 stars. I cant rate it when made with water because I havent tried it.Honestly, if you think about it, of course they want you to make it with water. It means your child will gain weight slower or you will have to give them the drink multiple times a day which means more money for them. If you use milk, for example the powdered milk that I use, you would pay $15 a month for a container with 50+ servings.Will continue to buy this drink mix until my daughter reaches tripple her burth weight and starts eating table foods.Tastes just like chocolate milk. Great for growing littles. Lasts a while with this 3 pack.Granddaughter loves itI was tired of my children always being sick since they entered day care, seeing how we realized we can't combat other parents inability to act appropriately and keep their kids home when sick, we ordered this and elderberry gummies, after a week we seen positive results. Their immune system is stronger and they seem less sick aka congested.We give them both one cup of this in the morning before school.Bought this for my grandson. He needs to gain weight per the pediatrician.OK product.Child got tired of this real quickMy kids are picky eater and don’t like most if the food item, but surprisingly they like it. 5 star for that.It was very good and my daughter loved it ‼️I’m very happy with this product and my little one just loved it. It’s great in taste and good for growing kids.I was hoping these would be more cost effective than buying the bottles, but they really aren't. It's cheaper to buy the liquid.
