It's hard to find a dairy free protein bar, that isn't full of sugar, artificial sugar, or taste terrible. These fit the bill. They were great when I had gestational diabetes while pregnant. I would have one with a piece of fruit before my morning walk so my blood sugar wouldn't get too low. I still use them now for quick protein when I'm out or busy.I don't think I would have been disappointed with the flavor if I wasn't expecting peanut butter flavor. I love peanut butter, but it only has a very mild peanut flavor. The taste isn't great, but it's not bad. If you've ever tasted many protein bars this is actually not as bad as it sounds. Most taste terrible or are overly sweet or have fake sugar aftertaste or the texture is awful. I joke with my kids that they are my playdough bars because the texture is like homemade playdough when warm.My biggest problem is quality control. I get them by subscribe and save. Sometimes they are busted open, leaking coconut oil everywhere and are dried out. Another time they forgot to put the chia seeds in them and they were extra oily. Sometimes they are perfect. And other times they are harder and not so good even though the packages are closed.All in all I recommend them.I've been purchasing these bars for years and years. This past order I've had to throw a lot of the bars away. The packages inside were opened and therefore stale and hard as a rock. I had to throw six bars out of the first box. I wouldn't want to eat a product that the packaging was opened anyway. I just opened the second box and do not know yet about this box.This bar could be taste better in other flavors ??‍♀️ however that birthday flavor tastes super “sweet” cashew are there’s too just don’t like that particular flavor ?It's one of the lowest calorie protein bars with all natural ingredients on the market. It is not bad tasting but not delicious. It's an easy way to get in my protein with a high calorie meal.My go to bar.I think they taste better after sitting in the fridge. The chocolate kinda hardens and reminds me of frosting.Pros:-low sugar-only ~4% of daily recommended sodium- ~6% daily recommended carbs-soft / chewy texture-decent ingredient list overallCons:-Expensive. If you're on a budget, check for their random coupon offers. I wouldn't say they're worth full price.Also, not necessarily a con but they do have quite a bit of fiber per bar. Eat slowly and drink lots of water with it to avoid potential bloating.Tried three flavors over the years-the peanut butter dark chocolate, creamy peanut butter & sea salt (which has the most protein and fiber out of the three) and lastly the mixed nut caramel & sea salt. I just didn’t like it sadly compared to the other protein bars I got. I didn’t like the Kirkland ones but this one was just awful.I’m really disappointed with the quality, I had purchased previously and loved them! Even the individual wrappers look discolored. The bars are dry and have a bitter taste to them than I hadn’t tasted on the other bars. Read the reviews but still decided to give them a chance but total waste of moneyVery yummy
