I bought this item because my regular product wasn't any longer at Amazon. I'm in my third month of using it. It has no flavor and dissolves easily - 2 bonuses. I use 2 heaped scoops daily as directed and it lasts a little over 6 weeks, so value for money. My nails and hair have been growing really quickly. Regarding pain relief, unsure if it helps.I really enjoy the taste. I like to make a big glass with crushed ice & it's so refreshing. I stopped drinking juices because of the sugar & no real benefit but I missed having it. Then I found this product that I bought specifically for my joints and was pleasantly surprised that it taste great. highly recommendI really wanted this to work. Good ingredients, great taste and it mixed really well. But I started having stomach problems. Stomach felt hollow, very weird. I also got a horrible headache and could not sleep. So I’m still looking for my collagen supplement.Ok, so I think this stuff works! Certainly see a difference in my skin (more on my body than on my face, dadgummit) but it’s only been 4 days. It is helping with my tendinopathy, which I got from an evil antibiotic. I am taking it with a split dose of MSM (15 grams, no chondroitin ) so that might be helping the pain too?Anyway… they videos show dissolving the powder into liquid, hot and cold. Give it up, can’t do it. Put the powder in a dry cup and add water while stirring with a teaspoon, unless you’re going to put it into a smoothie, but it’ll still stick to the sides of the container. Putting it in hot coffee is a joke. I’m writing all this so that people don’t get frustrated and end up not giving it a try. Expensive, but much better than the cheaper varieties, and it has been peer reviewed in medical trials, with positive effects.The berry flavor is too sweet. If I order again I'll look for the unflavored.I bought this for my college aged son to help with the tendonitis in his arms. He's been taking it for a couple months now, and it does appear to be helping. His right arm is back to normal, and his left one has improved as well. Previously we had tried another brand of collagen which did absolutely nothing. I finally did some reading and found a study that showed this brand to be helpful. I'm glad we tried it. I wish it was less expensive though.I think I may have done better to get the unflavored version, since having a berry taste limits what other things you can combine with and still be palatable. I am most appreciative with how well this mixes with plain water without lumps or residue.Regrettably, this is overpriced for something that is most likely composed of ground ungulate hooves, but at least they have some studies to back up claims.I purchased this because I had a rotator cuff tear and slap tear surgery. I wanted to make sure I had the best possible healing after surgery.My hair nails and skin hsve benefited too.The unflavored is not bad tasting.I mix it in yogurt or pudding.I highly recommend.The taste isn't great. Too sweet for me.
