I really wanted to like this product after having a positive experience with the dairy-based versions, but I found this shake impossible to choke down. The rice protein content is high, but it's taste is rather strong and bitter and it doesn't taste like chocolate...or coconut...at best it evokes something like cocoa-dusted cardboard. Adding a sweetener did not make it more palatable and the chalkiness of the powder makes it very hard to mix/blend into a smooth drink. It's a rather incredible waste of money if you buy a whole tub although, to be fair, the manufacturer does strongly recommend buying a single-serving container first...Perhaps blending this with ice, as suggested, or adding more liquid to reduce the consistency might make it edible? Unfortunately, I don't really want to find out..
